| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá určujícími faktory demokracie. Zkoumá tedy vztah mezi mírou demokracie v dané zemi a různými rysy dané země, které míru demokracie ovlivňují. Cílem práce je zjistit, které jsou klíčové určující faktory demokracie a pozorovat, jak se jejich význam v průběhu času proměnil. K tomu bakalářská práce využívá statistický model z jiné akademické práce, do kterého ale vkládá aktuální data. Práce dochází k závěru, že určujícími faktory demokracie jsou předchozí míra demokracie v dané zemi, rozšířenost základního vzdělání a HDP na obyvatele. Dalším zjištěním je, že ve sledovaném období bakalářské práce se v porovnání se sledovaným obdobím původní práce zvýšil vliv předchozí míry demokracie a školství na současnou míru demokracie. Vliv HDP na obyvatele naopak poklesl. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of determinants of democracy. It examines the relationship between the level of democracy in a given country and the various features of that country that influence the level of democracy. The thesis aims to identify the key determinants of democracy and to observe the change in their influence on democracy over time. In order to achieve the goal, the bachelor thesis uses a statistical model from another academic paper but works with current data. The thesis finds that the key determinants of democracy are a country's prior level of democracy, primary school attainment, and GDP per capita. The influence of the previous level of democracy and primary schooling on the current level of democracy has increased and the influence of GDP per capita has decreased during the period under review. |
