| Abstract: | V současnosti je v Jižní Koreji nejnižší míra fertility na světě (0,837 v roce 2020) a zároveň se zde nachází i jedno z nejvyšších temp stárnutí obyvatelstva, přičemž se očekává, že do roku 2060 bude 40 % populace starší než 65 let. Zároveň UN předpovídá, že počet obyvatel v Jižní Koreji dosáhne vrcholu kolem roku 2024 a poté začne značně klesat. Právě snižující se míra fertility a rostoucí naděje dožití jsou největšími přispěvateli ke stárnutí populace země. Cílem této práce je zhodnotit aktivní stárnutí a s tím související životní podmínky seniorů v Jižní Koreji od roku 2008 a zároveň vymezit demografickou strukturu Jižní Koreje a identifikovat příčiny stárnutí obyvatel a současné problémy, které s tím souvisí. První kapitola se věnuje teoretickému vymezení demografických ukazatelů a aktivního stárnutí a bude zanalyzováno stárnutí obyvatel ve světě. Druhá kapitola analyzuje stárnutí populace v Jižní Koreji a zabývá se příčinami a problémy spojené se stárnutím. Poslední kapitola se zaobírá aktivním stárnutím na případu Jižní Koreje. Bude vysvětleno, proč je aktivní stárnutí důležitým způsobem života pro starší Korejce. Současně bude zhodnocena jejich ekonomická situace a budou představeny programy, které podporují aktivní stárnutí. |

| Abstract: | Currently, South Korea has the lowest fertility rate in the world (0.837 in 2020) and one of the highest ageing rates, with 40% of the population expected to be over 65 by 2060. At the same time, the UN predicts that South Korea's population will peak around 2024 and then begin to decline significantly. Decreasing fertility and rising life expectancy are the biggest contributors to the country's ageing population. The aim of this work is to evaluate active ageing and related living conditions of seniors in South Korea since 2008 and at the same time to define the demographic structure of South Korea and identify the causes of population ageing and related current problems. The first chapter deals with the theoretical definition of demographic indicators and active ageing. Moreover, it will also analyze the ageing of the world's population. The second chapter analyzes the ageing population in South Korea and addresses the causes and problems associated with ageing. The last chapter deals with active ageing in the case of South Korea. Reasons why active ageing is an important way of life for older Koreans will be explained. At the same time, their economic situation will be assessed and programs that support active ageing will be introduced. |
