| Abstract: | Tématem této bakalářské práce je podnikatelské prostředí ve vybraných zemích Karibiku. Hlavní zaměření bude na dva ekonomicky a politicky nejvýznamnější ostrovní státy Jamajku a Trinidad a Tobago a následné porovnání s dalšími karibskými zeměmi. Nejprve bude představeno Karibské společenství (CARICOM). V rámci teoretické části bude specifikován pojem podnikatelského prostředí, zmíněny globální indexy konkurenceschopnosti jako prostředek celosvětového srovnání a budou uvedeny oblasti zkoumání následné PESTLE analýzy. V praktické části se práce zaměří zejména na charakteristiku sledovaných zemí pomocí faktorů PESTLE analýzy, vztahy Karibského společenství s jinými regiony a přímé zahraniční investice do Karibiku. |

| Abstract: | The topic of this bachelor thesis is the business environment in selected Caribbean countries. The main focus will be on the two most economically and politically important island states of Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago followed by a comparison with other Caribbean countries. Firstly, the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) will be introduced. The theoretical section will specify the concept of the business environment, mention global competitiveness indexes as a method of global comparison, and indicate the areas of interest for the subsequent PESTLE Analysis. In the practical part, the thesis will focus mainly on the characteristics of the countries examined using the factors of PESTLE analysis. Moreover, it will also focus on the Caribbean Community's relations with other regions and foreign direct investment in the Caribbean. |
