| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje sportovní diplomacii se zaměřením na sportovní diplomacii Korejské lidově demokratické republiky (KLDR). Cílem práce je zhodnotit sportovní diplomacii KLDR a odpovědět na otázku, zdali je právě sportovní diplomacie v rámci zahraniční politiky země úspěšná. Práce dále identifikuje konkrétní nástroje sportovní diplomacie, jež KLDR využívá. Severní Korea si uvědomuje obrovskou sílu sportovní diplomacie a snaží se s ní co nejlépe pracovat. Pro uzavřený a totalitní stát, jímž KLDR nepochybně je, je právě sportovní diplomacie ideální příležitostí k nastartování dialogu s ostatními aktéry mezinárodních vztahů. Sportovní diplomacie dále otevírá cestu k dosažení zahraničněpolitických cílů země a umožňuje zlepšení jejího obrazu v očích zahraničí. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor thesis deals with sports diplomacy as a tool of foreign policy, focusing on sports diplomacy of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK). The aim of the thesis is to evaluate sports diplomacy of the DPRK and to answer the question whether sports diplomacy is successful within the country's foreign policy. The thesis further identifies specific tools of sports diplomacy used by the DPRK. North Korea recognizes the enormous power of sports diplomacy and strives to work with it as efficiently as possible. For a closed and totalitarian state, which the DPRK undoubtedly is, sports diplomacy is an ideal opportunity to begin communication with other actors of international relations. Sports diplomacy further paves the way for achieving the country's foreign policy goals and enables it to improve its image in the eyes of foreign countries. |
