| Abstract: | Práce se zabývá pojmem geoekonomiky, jeho významem, teorií a aplikací. Práce zkoumá geoekonomiku konce studené války se zaměřením na Spojené státy americké a Svaz sovětských socialistických republik, a jaký vliv na užití geoekonomiky měla geografie, ekonomie a ideologie zkoumaných aktérů. Práce se zaměřuje na rozdíly v užití geoekonomiky ze strany Spojených států a Sovětského svazu a na vzájemný vztah ideologie a geoekonomiky. V teoretické části práce vymezuje pojem geoekonomiky, shrnuje hlavní myšlenky geoekonomických děl vlivných autorů, charakterizuje ideologii a politiku Sovětského svazu a Spojených států a shrnuje jejich hospodářskou a geografickou situaci ve zkoumaném období. V praktické částí dochází k aplikaci informací z teoretické části na konkrétní případy užití geoekonomiky a jejích nástrojů. |

| Abstract: | The thesis deals with the concept of geoeconomics, its meaning, theory and application. The thesis examines the geoeconomics of the end of the Cold War, focusing on the United States of America and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, and how the geography, economics, and ideology of the studied actors influenced their use of geoeconomics. The thesis focuses on the differences in the use of geoeconomics by the United States and the Soviet Union and the interrelationship of ideology and geoeconomics. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the concept of geoeconomics, summarizes the main ideas of geoeconomic works by influential authors, characterizes the ideology and policies of the Soviet Union and the United States, and summarizes their economic and geographical situation in the period under study. The practical part applies the information from the theoretical part to concrete cases of the use of geoeconomics and its tools. |
