| Abstract: | Tato diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou médií jako aktéry mezinárodních vztahů v době globalizace. V práci je využito metodologií případové studie, obsahové analýzy a komparace, které vedou k naplnění cíle a potvrzení či vyvrácení hypotéz, a všechny kapitoly diplomové práce se odvíjejí od teorie konstruktivismu. Teoretická kapitola se věnuje definici médií a masmédií, dále je doplněna o roli médií, stručný vývoj médií, média jako aktéra mezinárodních vztahů a propagační strategie. V praktické části se pak nachází společensko-historický kontext, kde je stěžejní kapitolou historie migrační politiky Donalda Trumpa a také pohled Američanů na migraci. Poslední dvě kapitoly se věnují analýze mediálního obrazu migrace ve třech mexických a třech amerických médiích a následné komparaci na základě sledovanosti, obsahu informací, objektivity, použitých titulků, multimediálních prvků a dalších mediálních praxí. |

| Abstract: | This diploma thesis focuses on the analysis of the media as an actor in international relations in the age of globalization. The diploma thesis uses three methodologies, namely a case study, content analysis and comparison. All chapters of the diploma thesis are based on the theory of constructivism. The theoretical chapter deals with the definition of media and mass media and also contains chapters such as the role of the media, a brief development of the media, the media as an actor in international relations and promotional strategies. The practical part first focuses on the socio-historical context. The key chapter in this part is focused on the history of Donald Trump's migration policy and also on the view of Americans on migration. The last two chapters are devoted to the analysis of the media image of migration in the three Mexican and three American media and the subsequent comparison based on the content of information, objectivity, used headlines, multimedia elements and other media practices. |
