| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce se věnuje plnění lidskoprávních závazků plynoucích z mezinárodních paktů z pohledu konkrétních oblastí činnosti Výboru pro lidská práva a Výboru pro hospodářská, sociální a kulturní práva, zejména skrze proces podávání zpráv. Nejprve se práce zabývá vymezením ústředních témat, kterými jsou teorie compliance, lidská práva na univerzální úrovni mezinárodního práva, a kontrolní mechanismy mezinárodních paktů. Následně se hlavní část práce zaměřuje na komparaci zmíněných lidskoprávních výborů podle několika kritérií. Patří mezi ně vznik obou výborů a jejich příslušných lidskoprávních paktů, povinnosti z nich vyplývající, opční protokoly paktů, proces podávání zpráv, individuální a mezistátní stížnosti, a návštěvy států. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor thesis is dedicated to the fulfilment of states' obligations arising from international human rights covenants from the perspective of the activity of the Human Rights Committee and the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, especially through the state reporting process. First, the thesis defines central themes, which are the compliance theory, human rights at the universal level of international law, and the control mechanisms of international covenants. The main part of the thesis subsequently focuses on the comparison of the mentioned human rights committees in several areas. These include the formation of the two committees and their respective covenants, their obligations under them, the optional protocols, the reporting process, complaints and state visits. |
