| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se zabývá silniční kamionovou dopravou, jejím významem v ekonomice států EU a současnými trendy. Hlavním cílem je zjistit současný význam silniční kamionové dopravy v sektoru dopravy a v ekonomice států EU. Dílčím cílem je zhodnotit aktuální stav a změny silniční kamionové dopravy v EU ve vztahu k aktuální situaci. Cílů je dosaženo za pomoci sledování následujících ukazatelů: objem a výkon silniční kamionové dopravy, podíl zaměstnaných v silniční nákladní dopravě, vztah mezi výkonem silniční nákladní dopravy a HDP, vztah mezi objemem silniční nákladní dopravy a HDP, podíl exportu a importu EU přes silniční kamionovou dopravu na celkovém exportu a importu. Závěrečná část práce se zaměřuje na současné trendy a budoucí možný vývoj silniční kamionové dopravy v souvislosti s modernizací, digitalizací a automatizací odvětví. |

| Abstract: | The diploma thesis is focused on road freight transport, its importance in the economy of EU countries and current trends. The main objective is to determine the current importance of road freight transport in the transport sector and in the economy of the EU countries. A secondary objective is to assess the current state and changes of road freight transport in the EU in relation to the current situation. The objectives are achieved by monitoring the following indicators: volume and performance of road freight transport, share of employment in road freight transport, relationship between road freight transport performance and GDP, relationship between road freight transport volume and GDP, share of EU exports and imports via road freight transport in total exports and imports. The final part of the thesis focuses on current trends and possible future developments in road freight transport in the context of modernisation, digitalisation and automisation of the sector. |
