Quantitative tools of agile project management

The bachelor thesis deals with the introduction to quantitative methods in agile project management. It is divided into two parts: Theoretical and Practical. Aim of this work is to create a clear and useful file on project management. It is designed so that each reader, regardless of the level of progress in project management, can effectively apply quantitative methods and understand their outputs. At the same time, emphasis is placed on comprehensibility of interpretation and explanation of the reason for use of individual methods. However, the objective is not to create a document that completely explains the issues of project management, but to present the reasons and ways of applying quantitative methods in an agile project with the use of the real project. The theoretical part focuses on explaining the basic terms needed to understand the thesis. This includes project management, agile and quantitative methods. It contains a selection of quantitative methods that can be applied in an agile system. The reasons for their use and the significance of their outputs are also explained. The aim of the practical part is to demonstrate the use of methods from the theoretical part on a real example. It allows the reader to better understand the benefits of quantitative methods in agile project management. In the modern world, there are supporting computer programs which provide functionalities that simplify project management. For the purposes of this work, MS Project and JIRA were selected, which show the application of some of the methods. The main purpose was to create beneficial work, which would subsequently serve as a guide for readers and other interested parties for successful project management. The work was created so that it is easy to understand and usable for project managers of all levels.
