| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce analyzuje Ostpolitik Willyho Brandta, její východiska, základy, procesy, vývoj, výsledky, pokračování po roce 1990, její vliv na současný stav Evropy a odkaz Ostpolitik a její inspiraci pro současnou mezinárodně-politickou situaci v Evropě. Práce je rozčleněna do čtyř kapitol. První se věnuje vývoji osobnosti a politické činnosti Willyho Brandta, k pochopení Brandtova myšlení, používání a struktury jeho politického instrumentária, a k pochopení aplikované Ostpolitik. Druhá kapitola analyzuje tři základní interpretační pozice Ostpolitik („optimistickou“, „konzervativně kritickou“ a „středovou“), hlavní názorové proudy na Ostpolitik, zásadní pro její hodnocení do pádu Berlínské zdi i v době po roce 1990 z celoněmeckého i evropského kontextu. Třetí kapitola zpracovává debaty v Bundestagu při schvalování Východních smluv (Ostverträge) a stanoviska jednotlivých politických směrů k nim. Čtvrtá kapitola je věnovaná odkazu Ostpolitik pro dnešní multipolární svět a doporučeními k její aplikaci, zejména za současného válečného konfliktu na Ukrajině v kontextu Evropy. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor thesis analyses the foundations, processes, development, outcomes as well as the continuation of Willy Brandt’s Ostpolitik after 1990. It also focuses on the influence and legacy of Ostpolitik on the current state of Europe, and its inspiration for the contemporary international-political situation in Europe. The thesis is divided into four chapters. The first one deals with the development of Willy Brandt’s character and his political activity, in order to better understand Brandt’s thoughts, the use and structure of his political instruments, and for understanding the applied Ostpolitik. The second chapter analyses three basic interpretive positions of Ostpolitik (“optimistic,” “critical conservative” and “middle”). The centre of attention are also the main ideological streams on Ostpolitik, key for its judging until and after the fall of Berlin wall from both the German and European context. The third chapter examines the debates in Bundestag in approving the Eastern Treaties (Ostverträge) and standpoints of individual political directions to them. The last chapter is dedicated to the legacy of Ostpolitik for today’s multipolar world as well as recommendations for its application, particularly during the current war conflict on Ukraine in the context of Europe. |
