| Abstract: | Cílem bakalářské práce je zjistit, jaké jsou příčiny plynové krize v Evropské unii v roce 2021. Práce zkoumá vnější a vnitřní faktory, jež mohou mít vliv na cenu komodity na evropském referenčním plynovém hubu TTF. Jsou testovány hypotézy: (H1) Ceny zemního plynu na hubu TTF jsou závislé na cenách asijského LNG, (H2) Ceny zemního plynu na hubu TTF jsou závislé na cenách ropy nebo uhlí. Cenové faktory jsou zkoumány pomocí Engle-Grangerova testu kointegrace, vliv zbylých činitelů je ověřen komparací vývoje příslušných ukazatelů. Z výzkumu vyplývá, že plynová krize byla způsobena souhrou negativních vlivů. Z cenových faktorů byl zjištěn velmi silný vliv cen asijského LNG, což potvrzuje H1. Hypotéza H2 je naopak vyvrácena, jelikož výsledky dopadů cen konkurenčních paliv na ceny TTF jsou statisticky nevýznamné. Krizi mohla způsobit i nadprůměrná spotřeba v prvních pěti měsících roku 2021, velmi nízká naplněnost úložišť a podprůměrný dovoz komodity v letních měsících roku 2021. |

| Abstract: | The aim of this bachelor thesis is to determine the causes of the 2021 gas crisis in the European Union. It examines both internal and external factors, which can influence the gas prices on the European reference hub TTF. The following hypothesis are tested: (H1) TTF prices are dependent on the prices of Asian LNG, (H2) TTF prices are dependent on the prices of oil or coal. The influence of price factors is examined through the Engle-Granger cointegration test, indicators of the remaining factors are compared in time. In conclusion, the 2021 gas crisis was a result of a series of negative causes. Firstly, a very strong influence of Asian LNG on TTF prices is established, confirming H1. Hypothesis H2, however, is rejected as the results for both competing fuels are statistically insignificant. Secondly, the gas crisis could also be caused by above the average consumption in the first five months of 2021, significantly lower levels of gas in storages, and below the average imports in the summer months of 2021. |
