| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce se věnuje působení Evropské unie (EU) ve světě. Pomocí případové studie zkoumá její normativní moc ve vztahu k problematice dětské práce. Klade si otázku, zda a jak může EU různými nástroji (vedením dialogu o lidských právech, kampaní na internetu a dotací programů na podporu vzdělání aj.) přispět k jejímu omezování (dětské práce) ve světě. V první části představuje hlavní teoretické koncepty normativní moci i roli EU jako nositelky a propagátorky lidských hodnot. Věnuje se především jedné z dimenzí aktérství EU, a tedy atraktivitě. Dále se zabývá současnou situací dětské práce, sleduje trendy i hlavní výzvy. Dotýká se vztahu dětské práce k chudobě i vzdělání. V empirické části se pak konkrétně zaměřuje na působení EU v této oblasti v období 2016-2022 a analyzuje nástroje, jež Unie využívá. Na závěr přináší hlubší vhled do realizace konkrétního projektu Clear Cotton a zhodnocení činnosti Unie |

| Abstract: | The bachelor thesis deals with the activities of the European Union (EU) in the world. Through a case study, it examines its normative power in relation to the issue of child labor. The work asks whether and how the EU can contribute to reducing (child labor) in the world through various instruments (sanctions, human rights dialogue, internet campaigns and subsidies for education programs, etc.). The first part presents the main theoretical concepts of normative power and the role of the EU as a bearer and promoter of human values. It focuses mainly on one of the dimensions of EU involvement, and thus on attractiveness. It also deals with the current situation of child labor, monitors trends and major challenges. It mentions the relationship between child labor and poverty and education. In the empirical part, it specifically focuses on the EU's action in this area in the period 2016-2022 and analyzes the tools used by the Union. Finally, it provides a deeper insight into the implementation of a specific Clear Cotton project and an evaluation of the Union's activities. |
