| Abstract: | The aim of the thesis is to determine how the Singaporean government has contributed to its economic success. The work is divided into two chapters. The first chapter aims to analyze Singaporean economic development and characterize the signs of state capitalism in the country. The second chapter aims to identify the government's role in Singapore's education and technological development. In the education part, the historical development of education in Singapore with an emphasis on the role of the government is presented. The second sub-chapter focuses on the current state of technologies and innovations in Singapore and gives an overview of the technological development in the country. In the conclusion, possible implications for the Czech Republic from the experience of Singapore are provided. |

| Abstract: | Cílem této bakalářské práce je zjistit, jak Singapurská vláda přispěla k ekonomickému úspěchu země. Práce je rozdělena do dvou hlavních kapitol. První kapitola je zaměřena na analýzu Singapurského ekonomického vývoje a charakteristiku znaků státního kapitalismu v zemi. Druhá kapitola analyzuje roli vlády ve vzdělání a technologickém rozvoji Singapuru. Ve vzdělávací části je prezentován historický vývoj vzdělání v Singapuru s důrazem na roli vlády. Druhá podkapitola se zaměřuje na současný stav technologií a inovací v Singapuru a popisuje technologický vývoj v zemi. V závěru jsou uvedeny možné implikace pro Českou republiku, které vyplývají z provedené analýzy vývoje vzdělání a technologií v Singapuru. |
