Abstract:
The thesis discusses challenges and obstacles in the Big data industry with the high level overview of past, present and future state. Theoretical part of the thesis provided general overview from technical and theoretical problematics of the discussed subject, with the focus on the target group of middle and top management. This focus remains through the whole thesis with clear goal, to give the reader as much information that can lead us to the better managerial decision with the respect to the implementation of the Big data practice in the project, product or the company. The methodology used in the practical part can be deferred into two parts. Both are qualitative synthesis, first is synthesis of white papers and other types of research papers of which thesis uses PRISMA as a tool for systematic review. The other is synthesis of case scenario studies which been used from the field. The practical part concludes overview of why many projects fails, recommendations for the successful implementation and possible presentation of the Big data’s future following thesis conclusion through author’s discussion of human centric society (Society 5.0) which Big data plays significant role.
