Design and implementation of a BI solution the ICT company

Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na návrh a následnou implementaci business intelligence řešení v prostředí společnosti, která operuje v odvětví telekomunikací. V teoretické části jsou zahrnuty poznatky z oblasti manažerského rozhodování, business intelligence architektury a následně řešení self service business intelligence se zaměřením na konkrétní nástroj. V praktické části je vybrán podnik z prostředí ICT přičemž je detailně popsán jeho proces strategického rozhodování. Na základě aktuálního procesu a kritérií oddělení strategie je navrženo BI řešení, které je implementováno v prostředí aplikace Microsoft Power BI.

This diploma thesis is focused on the design and subsequent implementation of business intelligence application in the environment of a company which is operating in the telecommunications industry. The theoretical part consists of information from the field of managerial decision-making, business intelligence architecture and self service business intelligence. Practical part describes a chosen company from the ICT industry and analyze its current strategic decision-making process. Consequently, based on the problem description of the strategy department and their requrements is designed and implemented solution in the specific BI application which bears the name Microsoft Power BI.
