| Abstract: | Tato práce se zabývá osobními informaci, jejich významem a využitím v současném digitálním věku. Cílem práce je získat přehled o tom, jaký význam mají v dnešní době osobní informace, jak můžeme tyto informace zabezpečit a jak mohou být využívané firmami a státními institucemi. Důraz je kladen především na lidskou stránku věci. Jak mohou tyto činnosti ovlivnit lidé, a jak různé zacházení s daty může ovlivnit je. Na začátku práce je přehled o tom, jaké informace se dají pokládat za osobní, jak se vyvíjejí a proč jsou dnes tak důležité a cenné. Dále je zde řešena otázka zabezpečení osobních informací a zacházení s osobními informacemi, a jaké praktiky mohou využívat firmy při získávání nebo při zhodnocování těchto informací. V další části je zde scénář, kdy jsou soukromé informace využívané firmami a státem, ke zvýšení bezpečnosti ale za cenu soukromí. Na konec je shrnutí dat z dotazníku, který byl vytvořen pro získání povědomí o tom, jak často se lidé setkávají s uvedenými problémy, nebo jaký mají názor na potenciální využití informací v uvedeném scénáři. |

| Abstract: | This document is about personal information, its meaning and use in the current digital age. The goal of this document is to get an overview of the importance of personal information, how we can secure this information and how it can be used by companies and government institutions. The emphasis is mainly on the human side of things. How these activities can be affected by people, and how different data treatments can affect them. The first part of the document is an overview of what can be considered as personal information, how it develops and why it is so important and valuable today. The next part is about, the issue of security of personal information. The handling of personal information is addressed here, plus what practices may companies use to obtain or create value of this information. In the next part, there is the scenario where personal information is used by companies and the state, to increase security but at the cost of privacy. Finally, there is a summary of the data from the questionnaire, which was created to gain awareness of how often people encounter these issues or what they think about the potential use of information in the said scenario. |
