| Abstract: | Práce se zabývá tvorbou cizojazyčných titulků a všemi náležitostmi procesu. Obsahem teoretické části je stručný přehled vývoje titulků v historii od mezititulků až po elektronické generátory, popis stavu titulků na současném mediálním trhu, principy, jakými se tvůrci titulků řídí, a relevantní technické informace. Praktická část navazuje na teorii tvorbou samostatného souboru titulků pro první epizodu seriálu ACCA 13 ve formátu ASS. V této části je vytvořena profesionálně vypadající stopa titulků bez nutnosti použití editorů videa, pro něž je nutné stopu vypálit přímo do obrazu. Práce popisuje náležitosti, kterých si musí být překladatel či sazeč vědom při vytváření titulků touto metodou. Součástí titulků jsou pokročilé efekty, mezi nimiž se vyskytují dynamicky pohybující se texty, karaoke, kaligrafické alternativy, apod. Posléze se pro daný soubor testuje kompatibilita s populárními přehrávači na několika operačních systémech. V těchto testech si dobře vedli zvlášť přehrávače MPV a~MPC-HC, zatímco ostatní jako VLC a MX Player měly několik nedostatků. V této části je také proveden zátěžový test procesoru, který ukázal, že použité efekty měly mírný vliv na výkon. V závěru je tato metoda překladu vyhodnocena jako neadekvátní pro profesionální tvorbu, ale velmi lákavá pro tvorbu amatérskou. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor thesis deals with the production of foreign language subtitles and all its prerequisites. The theoretical part includes a brief overview of the development of subtitles in history from intertitles to electronic generators, a description of the state of the current media market, rules, which subtitle translators abide by, and relevant technical information. The practical part builds on the theory by describing the production of a new standalone subtitle file in the ASS format for the first episode of a show titled ACCA 13. In this part, a professional-looking subtitle track is created without the need to use video editors, which require the track to be burned directly into the image. The thesis mentions the requirements a translator or a typesetter must be aware of when creating subtitles using this method. The subtitle file includes advanced effects, including dynamically moving text, karaoke, calligraphic alternatives, etc. Said file is then tested for compatibility issues with various popular media players on several operating systems. In these tests, MPV and MPC-HC did particularly well, while others such as VLC and MX Player had several shortcomings. A CPU stress test is also performed in this section, which showed that the effects used had a slight effect on performance. In conclusion, this translation method is evaluated as inadequate for professional production but very appealing for amateur production. |
