Childcare service for children under three years of age in children's groups and kindergartens in the Czech Republic

| Abstract: | Cílem bakalářské práce je, na základě deskriptivního výzkumu v oblasti péče o děti do tří let v dětských skupinách a mateřských školách v České republice, vyhodnotit hypotézu, zda počty narozených dětí souvisí/nesouvisí s kapacitou služeb péče o ně v těchto zařízeních. Dílčím cílem je komparace těchto služeb ve vybraných zemích (Česká republika, Dánsko, Rakousko, Slovensko,) v souvislosti s požadavky barcelonských cílů. První část práce vychází z deskriptivního výzkumu odborné literatury, článků, teoretických materiálů, analýz a dat z oblasti rodinné politiky. Důraz je kladen na služby péče o děti a nástroje rodinné politiky, které je ovlivňují. Druhá část vychází z dat demografické statistiky, statistiky školství a evidence Ministerstva práce a sociálních věcí. Ty jsou vyhodnoceny s použitím jednoduchých statistických metod (vyhodnocení časové řady, podíl, index, korelace, regrese). Použité metody (deskripce, analýza, komparace) pro vyhodnocení statistických dat v letech 2011 – 2020 přinesly výsledek o slabé pozitivní závislosti mezi počtem dětí do tří let a kapacitou míst v zařízeních. Výsledek výpočtu regresního koeficientu naznačuje, že při vzrůstu počtu dětí do tří let o 10 vzroste kapacita míst přibližně o 3. Zkoumaná problematika, výsledky výzkumu, přínos zjištěných skutečností a shrnutí poznatků v závěru práce přinesly zjištění, že datová základna o dětských skupinách je nedostačující. Věková struktura dětí vychází z odhadu a kapacita dětských skupin neodráží skutečný počet docházejících dětí (sdílená místa). Při sumarizaci výsledků za mateřské školy a dětské skupiny vznikl problém časové slučitelnosti (mateřské školy fungují v režimu roku školního a dětské skupiny roku běžného). |

| Abstract: | The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to evaluate the hypothesis whether the number of births is related to the capacity of childcare services in these institutions using descriptive research in the field of childcare for children under three years of age in children's groups and kindergartens in the Czech Republic. A sub-objective is to compare these services in selected countries (the Czech Republic, Denmark, Austria, Slovakia) in relation to the requirements of the Barcelona targets. The first part of the thesis is based on descriptive research of literature, articles, theoretical materials, analyses and data in the field of family policy. The focus is on childcare services and family policy instruments that influence them. The second part is based on data from demographic statistics, education statistics and the records of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. These are evaluated using statistical methods (time series analysis, proportion, index, correlation, regression). The methods used (description, analysis, comparison) to evaluate statistical data between the years 2011 and 2020 yielded the result of a weak positive relationship between the number of children under three and the capacity of places in institutions. The result of the calculation of the regression coefficient indicates that if the number of children under three increases by 10, the capacity of places will increase by approximately 3. The issues investigated, the results of the research, the contribution of the findings and the summary of the have led to the finding that the data base of children's groups is insufficient. The age structure of children is based on estimates and the capacity of children’s groups does not reflect the actual number of children attending (shared places). When summarizing the results for kindergartens and child groups, problems of time compatibility arose (kindergartens operate in the school year mode and playgroups in the regular year mode). |
