Testing user experience (UX) of application Dobré knihy

This bachelor thesis deals with testing the user experience of the internet bookstore dobre-knihy.cz. The aim of the thesis is to test the user experience of the application and then analyse the results. The output of this testing is a proposal for improvement, which is then submitted to the e-shop operator. The theoretical part of the thesis explains the concepts needed to understand the user testing issues. Furthermore, the general process of user experience testing and two basic approaches to application design are explained. It also presents some basic principles that anyone trying to create a positive user experience should, follow. In addition, several metrics by which user experience and usability are measured are described. In the second chapter of the theoretical section, the reader is introduced to five qualitative and four quantitative methods of user experience evaluation. The appropriate context for the use of these methods and their advantages and disadvantages are also explained. The practical part of the thesis focuses on independent testing of the user experience of the dobre-knihy.cz application. The application is properly introduced, and the target group of its users is defined. Based on the information about the target group, a representative group of respondents is formed. The testing environment was documented for possible future repetition of the research. This is followed by a description of the self-testing and the methods used. The data is then evaluated and several changes to the tested application are proposed based on the results obtained.
