| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou Smart Cities. Cílem práce je prozkoumat koncept Smart City a jeho aplikaci v Praze a dalších pěti evropských městech. Teoretická část umožňuje komplexnější pohled na chytrá města s využitím deskriptivní metody. Praktická část se zabývá aplikací chytrých řešení v Praze, Miláně, Vídni, Mnichově, Budapešti a Varšavě s důrazem na české hlavní město. Města jsou analyzována a porovnávána mezi sebou na základě dvou indexů – Cities in Motion Index a Smart City Index. Porovnávány jsou taktéž jejich koncepční dokumenty zaměřené na oblast Smart řešení. Zvolená metodika pomohla odhalit nedostatky Prahy a navrhnout možná řešení, jak vylepšit pozici hlavního města nejen ve zmíněných indexech, ale především pro své obyvatele. |

| Abstract: | The diploma thesis deals with the issue of Smart Cities. The aim of this work is to explore the concept of Smart City and its application in Prague and five other European cities. The theoretical part provides a more comprehensive view of smart cities using descriptive methods. The practical part deals with the application of smart solutions in Prague, Milan, Vienna, Munich, Budapest and Warsaw with an emphasis on the Czech capital. Cities are analyzed and compared with each other on the basis of two indices - Cities in Motion Index and Smart City Index. Their conceptual documents focused on Smart solutions are also compared. The chosen methodology helped to reveal the shortcomings of Prague and to suggest possible solutions to improve the position of the capital not only in the mentioned indices, but especially for its inhabitants. |
