The potential of cryptocurrencies in terms of their use in the catering business

| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou akceptaci kryptoměn jako platebního prostředku ve sféře gastronomického podnikání. Téma kryptoměn v posledních letech nabyla vysoké popularity. Se zvyšujícím zájmem o způsobech použiti kryptoměn se také zvyšuje důraz na regulaci kryptoměn, stanovení pravidel pro jejich používání a informovanost občanů v této oblasti. Téma mě práce byla zvolena za účelem odhalit teoreticky rámec kryptoměn, zjistit informovanost obyvateli o sektoru kryptoměn, a jejich motivaci a preferencí z hlediska výběru kryptoměn jako platební metody. Z hlediska tohoto účelu byla zvolena metodika práce, která se skládá z rešerše literatury, dotazníkového šetření a její analýzy. Rešerše literatury obsahuje důležité informační zdroje, na základě, kterých byl shrnut současný stav poznání. V rámci dotazníkového šetření bylo získáno a zpracováno 208 odpovědí, které sloužily jako podklad k určení kritérií pro doporučení poskytovatelům gastronomických služeb o zavedení kryptoměn jako platební metody v prostorech jejich podnikání. Práce je zejména vhodná pro současné i potenciální podnikatele ve sféře gastronomických služeb kteří chtějí sledovat trendům. |

| Abstract: | The diploma thesis deals with the issue of acceptance of cryptocurrencies as a means of payment in the sphere of catering business. The topic of cryptocurrencies has gained high popularity in recent years. With the increasing interest in the ways of using cryptocurrencies, there is also an increasing emphasis on the regulation of cryptocurrencies, the establishment of rules for their use and the awareness of citizens in this area. The topic of my thesis was chosen in order to reveal the theoretical framework of cryptocurrencies, to find out the awareness of citizens about the cryptocurrency sector, and their motivations and preferences in terms of choosing cryptocurrencies as a payment method. In terms of this purpose, the methodology of the thesis was chosen, which consists of literature search, questionnaire survey and its analysis. The literature review contains important sources of information, based on which the current state of knowledge was summarized. In the questionnaire survey, 208 responses were obtained and processed, which served as the basis for determining the criteria for recommending to food service providers the introduction of cryptocurrency as a payment method in their business premises. The work is particularly suitable for current and potential foodservice entrepreneurs who want to follow the trends. |
