| Abstract: | Diplomová práce si klade za cíl zjistit a posoudit důvěryhodnost a smysluplnost Bitcoinu jako investičního prostředku a držitele hodnoty. Pomoci metody explanace objasnit princip fungování technologie blockchain na které Bitcoin byl postaven. Vyzdvihnout příležitostí a hrozby, hlavní výhody a nevýhody investování do první kryptoměny, vysvětlit rozdíl mezi centralizovaným a decentralizovaným systémem na finančním trhu. Poté v praktické části představit výsledky empirického průzkumu založeného na kvantitativním přístupu ohledně investičního chování občanů ČR a zdůvodnit aktuálnost téma této diplomové práci. Následně odpovědět na průzkumnou otázku, zda můžeme vnímat Bitcoin jako smysluplnou alternativu diverzifikace portfolia investic a ochranu před inflaci, na základě provedené komparační analýzy Bitcoinu s jiným investičním instrumentem dostupným široké veřejnosti v České republice |

| Abstract: | The diploma thesis aims to find out and assess the credibility and meaningfulness of Bitcoin as an alternative investment and holder of value. Using the method of explanation to clarify the principle of operation of the blockchain technology on which Bitcoin was built. Highlight the opportunities and threats, the main advantages, and disadvantages of investing in the first cryptocurrency, explain the difference between a centralized and decentralized system in the financial market. Then, in a practical part, present the results of an empirical survey based on a quantitative approach regarding the investment behaviour of Czech citizens and justify the topicality of the topic of this diploma thesis. Subsequently, to answer the exploratory question of whether we can perceive Bitcoin as a meaningful alternative to diversifying the portfolio of investments and protecting against inflation, based on a comparative analysis of Bitcoin with another investment instrument available to the public in the Czech Republic |
