Corporate Social Responsibility of Melitrade Ltd

Corporate social responsibility is receiving more and more attention from Czech companies and organizations, yet there are many companies that do not give much importance to social responsibility or, due to their smaller size, believe that the potential benefits will be insignificant. From the perspective of corporate theory, CSR faces different views on its motives and whether CSR can positively influence profits at all. The aim of this bachelor thesis was to evaluate the CSR activities of a selected company Melitrade Inc. to date and to propose a form of CSR report. The thesis dealt with the concept of social responsibility, its principles, benefits, as well as its criticism. Attention was paid to CSR reporting, its standards, evaluation and measurement of its results. The practical part was based on qualitative and quantitative research, according to the results of which a draft report of the selected company Melitrade a.s. was compiled. On the basis of a literature search and an agreement with the company management, the GRI Content Index standards model was used to compile the report.
