| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce se věnuje analýze osobní námořní dopravy přes Lamanšský průliv. Teoretická část se zabývá historií dopravy i námořní dopravy, přiblížením různých druhů trajektů a trajektových tras ve světě a také krátce nastíní současnou situaci ohledně udržitelné dopravy. Nebudou opomenuty ani bezpečnostní podmínky a jiné způsoby osobní námořní dopravy. Praktická část už se věnuje samotné analýze, kde postupně dojde k představení trajektových společností, které operují v Lamanšském průlivu, budou více přiblíženy nabízené služby a flotila. Sekundární výzkum praktické části mapuje spojení mezi kontinentální Evropou a Britskými ostrovy pomocí třech modelových tras a porovnává jednotlivé trajektové trasy s Eurotunelem. |

| Abstract: | The bachelor thesis is about maritime passenger transport across the English Channel. The theoretical part deals with the history of transport and maritime transport, the approach of different types of ferries and ferry routes in the world, and also briefly outlines the current situation regarding sustainable transport. Additionally, the safety conditions and other modes of maritime passenger transport will not be overlooked either. The practical part is already devoted to the analysis itself. The ferry companies operating in the English Channel will be gradually introduced, the offered services, and the fleet will be brought closer. The secondary research of the practical part describes the connection between continental Europe and the British Isles using three model routes and compares individual ferry routes with the Eurotunnel. |
