| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce se zabývá proměnou hazardu v České republice způsobenou vlivem nové legislativy a následně i koronavirovou pandemií. Hlavním cílem práce je, prostřednictvím vybraných metod finanční analýzy, odhalit slabé stránky a reálné změny ve finanční situaci konkrétního podniku. Dále výsledky porovnat s konkurencí, s vývojem v odvětví a formulovat doporučení pro vybranou společnost, ostatní společnosti na trhu a potenciální investory. Práce se dělí na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části je představeno fungování hazardu v České republice, včetně aktuálních regulací a působení pandemie. Zbytek teoretické části je zaměřen na popis vybraných nástrojů finanční analýzy, jež jsou následně v praktické části práce aplikovány na konkrétní data vybrané společnosti a její konkurence za roky 2016-2020. Vybraným podnikem je CASINO MERKUR a.s., který jako provozovatel land-based technické hry představuje zástupce nejvíce postižených podniků změnami v posledních letech. Závěr nabízí shrnutí výsledků praktické části práce, na které navazují výše zmíněná doporučení. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor thesis deals with the change in gambling in the Czech Republic caused by the impact of the new gambling legislation and then by the coronavirus pandemic. The main goal of the thesis is to use selected financial analysis methods to evaluate the actual weaknesses and changes in the financial health of a particular company and its competitors, and to formulate recommendations for the selected company, other companies and potential investors. The thesis consists of two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part presents the current condition of gambling in the Czech Republic, including regulations and the impact of the pandemic. The rest of the theoretical part focuses on the description of financial analysis tools applied in the practical part of the paper to specific data of the selected company and its competitors in the period 2016-2020. The selected company is CASINO MERKUR a.s., an operator of the land-based technical game, which represents the group of companies most affected by the changes in recent years. The conclusion offers an overview of the practical part, followed by the previously mentioned recommendations. |
