| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se věnuje tématu trhu se současným uměním v České republice s důrazem na zkoumání možnosti využití uměleckých děl jako investičních aktiv. Teoretická část práce vymezuje pojmy, vztahy mezi subjekty trhu a základní principy cenotvorby vztahující se k problematice obchodování s uměním, specificky pak k umění soudobých autorů. Praktická část analyzuje vývoj českého trhu s uměním v letech 2012 až 2021 s cílem identifikovat aspekty významné pro investiční rozhodování. Na základě zkoumání dynamiky trhu ve sledovaném období bylo učiněno vícero závěrů. Obecně dochází k nárůstu trhu a zvyšování cen uměleckých děl, a to nejen v nejatraktivnějších segmentech. Růst vykazuje i segment současného umění, který je však kvůli své volatilitě mnohem rizikovější. Jako nejjistější se jeví investování do děl starší generace současných umělců, která vykazují nejvyšší potenciál zvyšování cen. Alternativním nástrojem pro sledování tržního segmentu umění mladých výtvarníků mohou být indexy. Přidanou hodnotou práce je usnadnění orientace na současné české umělecké scéně investorům a sběratelům. |

| Abstract: | The subject matter of this master’s thesis is the contemporary art market in the Czech Republic with an emphasis on examination of the possibility of using artworks as investment assets. The theoretical part of the thesis defines terms, relations among market subjects and basic principles of pricing related to the issue of art trading, specifically to the art of contemporary authors. The practical part which analyses the development of the Czech art market in the years 2012 to 2021 aims to identify aspects of high importance for investment decision-making. Based on examining the dynamics of the market, several conclusions have been drawn. In general, there is a growth recognised in the market and an increase in prices of works of art, not only concerning the most attractive segments. The segment of contemporary art also indicates growth, however, because of its volatility, it is much riskier. Investing in the works of older generation of contemporary artists, which show the highest potential for price increase, seems to be secure. As an alternative tool for monitoring the market segment of young artists’ works indices can be used. The added value of the thesis lies in clarifying the contemporary Czech art scene to investors and collectors. |
