| Abstract: | Tato diplomová práce se zabývá postavením žen na evropském trhu práce, přičemž největší pozornost je soustředěna na ženy s dětmi. Hlavním cílem je zjistit na základě analýzy relevantních dat, jaká jsou specifika postavení žen na trhu práce a příčiny genderových nerovností v rámci České republiky a Evropské unie. V rámci tohoto cíle je přiblížena rovněž legislativa, která ženy na trhu práce podporuje. Dílčími cíli jsou komparace zaměstnanosti žen napříč státy EU, zjištění v jaké míře se na trhu práce vyskytuje diskriminace žen z hlediska mateřství a jak pandemie covidu-19 ovlivnila postavení žen na trhu práce. Praktická část se bude prostřednictvím kvalitativního výzkumu též věnovat zkušenostem žen s návratem na trh práce po skončení rodičovské dovolené, tomu s jakými překážkami se setkávaly a jak se jim daří slaďovat pracovní a rodinný život. Na závěr jsou na základě zjištěných faktů podány návrhy a doporučení, které by mohly vést ke zlepšení situace v této oblasti. |

| Abstract: | This diploma thesis focuses on position of women in the european labor market, with the biggest attention focused on women with children. The main goal is to find out, based on the relevant data, what are the spcifics of the position of women in the labor market and the causes of gender inequalities within the Czech Republic and the European Union. As part of this goal, legislation that supports women in the labor market is also approximated. The sub-objectives are to compare women’s employment across the EU, to find out to what extent there is maternal discrimination in the labor market and how the Covid-19 pandemic reflects the position of women in the labor market. Through qualitative research, the practical part will also focus on the experiences of women returning to the labor market after maternity leave, what obstacles they encountered and how they manage to reconcile work and family life. Finally, based on the findings, suggestions and recommendations are made that could lead to an improvement in the situation in this area. |
