| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce popisuje kryptoměny, zejména nejznámější z nich (Bitcoin) a popisuje jeho potenciál z hlediska jeho použití jako peníze. Kryptoměny jsou zkoumány na základně ekonomického a technického hlediska s ohledem na vývoj peněz. Vzhledem k tomu, že kryptoměny neplní žádnou z tradičních funkcí peněz kompletně, není možné kryptoměny považovat za peníze, ale pouze jako spekulativní aktivum a populární inovativní technologii. Práce rovněž zmiňuje základní technologické prvky, na níž Bitcoin funguje, jeho vznik, strukturu, průběh transakce a rizika. Poslední kapitola se zabývá aktuálním postojem ekonomicky významných zemí světa ke kryptoměnám a k zavedení Bitcoinu jako alternativní měny. |

| Abstract: | The bachelor thesis describes cryptocurrencies, especially the most famous of them (Bitcoin) and describes its potential in terms of its use as money. Cryptocurrencies are examined from economic and technical point of view regarding the development of money. Since cryptocurrencies do not fulfil any of the traditional functions of money completely, cryptocurrencies cannot be considered money, but only as a speculative asset and a popular innovative technology. The thesis also mentions the basic technological elements, based on which Bitcoin works, its origin, structure, course of transactions and risks. The last chapter deals with the current attitude of economically important countries of the world towards cryptocurrencies and the implementation of Bitcoin as an alternative currency. |
