| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se zabývá zahraniční politikou Izraele za vlády Benjamina Netanjahua v letech 2009-2021 ve vztahu k izraelským regionálním rivalům v oblasti Blízkého východu. Referenčními subjekty jsou Palestinská autonomie, Írán a sunnitské státy Perského zálivu s důrazem na Saudskou Arábii a Spojené arabské emiráty. Ústředním nástrojem pro výzkum postojů a opatření Netanjahuovy vlády vůči zmíněným zahraničním aktérům je doktrína Iron Wall, jež byla definována revizionistickým sionistou Ze´evem (Vladimírem) Žabotinským v roce 1923, tedy ještě před vznikem Státu Izrael. S ohledem na skutečnost, že doktrína představuje pětifázový proces přeměny rivalů Izraele v jeho spojence, lze s její pomocí zhodnotit Netanjahuovu zahraniční politiku aplikovanou vůči vybraným regionálním rivalům, což je hlavním cílem práce. |

| Abstract: | The thesis examines Israel's foreign policy under Benjamin Netanyahu from 2009 to 2021 in relation to Israel's regional rivals in the Middle East. The reference entities are the Palestinian Authority, Iran, and the Sunni Gulf states, with an emphasis on Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. The key tool for researching the Netanyahu government's attitudes and actions towards the foreign actors mentioned is the Iron Wall doctrine, defined by the revisionist Zionist Ze'ev (Vladimir) Jabotinsky in 1923, before the establishment of the State of Israel. Given the fact that the doctrine represents a five-step process of transforming Israel's rivals into its allies, it can be used to assess Netanyahu's foreign policy as applied to selected regional rivals, which is the main objective of the thesis. |
