| Abstract: | Tato diplomová práce se zabývá využitím leasingu kontejnerů v námořní přepravě. Jejím cílem je určit, zda je leasing kontejnerů výhodnější oproti alternativním možnostem financování tohoto aktiva na konkrétních příkladech na dvou námořních trasách. Zde se zkoumá, jaké typy leasingu kontejnerů existují, jaké jsou výhody a nevýhody leasingu oproti koupi, jak vypadá trh s leasingem kontejnerů včetně jeho účastníků, cen a aktuálních situací ovlivňujících tento trh. Dále jsou uvedené alternativní možnosti financování tohoto aktiva, jako jsou koupě nebo využití kontejnerů vlastněných dopravci. Podrobněji je výhodnost jednotlivých možností ilustrována na příkladech přepravy z Antverp do Šanghaje a zpět, jak na jednu cestu, tak i z dlouhodobého hlediska. Výsledkem je, že za uvedených okolností je v krátkodobém horizontu z Antverp do Šanghaje výhodnější leasing na jednu cestu, v opačném směru pak využití kontejneru vlastněného dopravcem. Dlouhodobě pro okružní jízdy také vychází levněji využití kontejneru vlastněného dopravcem z důvodu nerovnováhy světového obchodu. |

| Abstract: | This thesis deals with usage of shipping container leasing in maritime industry. Its aim is to determine whether container leasing is preferable to alternative options of financing this asset, using specific examples on two shipping routes. It examines what types of container leasing exist, what are the advantages and disadvantages of leasing versus buying, how the container leasing market looks like including its participants, prices and the current situation in the world and its parts affecting this market. Alternative options for financing this asset, such as buying or using carrier owned containers are also presented. In more detail, the advantage of each option is illustrated with examples of transportation from Antwerp to Shanghai and back, both for a one-way trip and in the long term. The result is that in the short term from Antwerp to Shanghai, one-way leasing is more advantageous in the circumstances presented, and in the opposite direction - using a carrier owned container. In the long term, it is also cheaper to use a carrier owned container for the round trip because of the imbalance in world trade. |
