| Abstract: | Jedním ze způsobů, jak zkoumat změny ve struktuře ekonomiky, je pomocí relativně nových konceptů, ekonomické komplexity a produkční sítě. Cílem této diplomové práce je identifikovat změny ve složení exportů v kontextu strukturálních změn Chile a Peru mezi roky 1995–2019 za využití konceptu ekonomické komplexity a produkční sítě. Dále je cílem odhalit produkty a odvětví vhodné pro rozvoj vývozního portfolia. Práce je členěná do tří kapitol. Cílem první kapitoly je čtenáře uvést do problematiky ekonomické komplexity a produkční sítě. Zbývající dvě kapitoly jsou zaměřeny již přímo na vybrané země, Chile a Peru. Zde jsou na těchto zemích aplikovány teoretické poznatky z první kapitoly. Pomocí analýzy exportů a použití dvou zmiňovaných konceptů bylo zjištěno, že u Chile ve sledované periodě nedošlo k zásadním změnám ve struktuře vývozů, ačkoliv země usilovala o diverzifikaci a sofistikaci. Ekonomická komplexita země zůstává v mezinárodním srovnání stále relativně nízká. V případě Peru sledujeme určité změny v exportech, ty ale vedly ke snižování ekonomické komplexity země. |

| Abstract: | One of the ways how to examine changes in an economic structure is by relatively new concepts of economic complexity and the product space. The aim of this thesis is to identify changes in the export structure of Chile and Peru between 1995–2019 in the context of structural change by applying the concepts of economic complexity and the product space. The second goal is to discover suitable products for the future development of their export baskets. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part introduces the theory of economic complexity and the product space. In the following two chapters, the concepts are applied to Chile and Peru. No significant change was observed in the Chilean exports and economic complexity, although the country sought to diversify and refine further. On the other hand, Peru experienced changes in its export basket that negatively impacted the country’s economic complexity. |
