| Abstract: | Tato diplomová práce se zabývá tématem globálního terorismu a jeho vývojem v posledních letech. Jejím cílem bylo na základě analázy dat z Globální databáze terorismu (GTD), v současnosti nejkomplexnější databáze evidující teroristické incidenty po celém světě, určit trendy globálního terorismu. První teoretická část práce představila nezbytné informace nutné pro následnou analýzu v části druhé, která představila samotný fenomén terorismu, jeho typologie a metody, podívala se na terorismus z globálního pohledu a také představila teroristické organizace s největším podílem incidentů a úmrtí na světě. Druhá část práce analyzovala globální terorismus v několika oblastech, z níž vyplynulo několik trendů. Analýza ukázala klesající trend počtu incidentů i úmrtí v posledních pěti letech, na kterém měl velký podíl i pokračující úpadek ISIL v Iráku a Sýrii, vliv skupiny naopak stále geograficky expanduje. V Afghánistánu dochází k růstu násilí spojeného s terorismem i díky Talibanu, který se stal nejsmrtelnější teroristickou skupinou a vystřídal tak upadající ISIL. Došlo také k pokles počtu zemí evidujících oběti v důsledku terorismu. Dopad radikálního džihádistického terorismu na Západě utichl, naopak dochází k nárůstu počtu úmrtí z krajní pravice motivované terorismem. |

| Abstract: | This diploma thesis deals with the topic of global terrorism and its development in recent years. Its aim was to identify global terrorism trends based on the analysis of data from the Global Terrorism Database (GTD), currently the most comprehensive database recording terrorist incidents worldwide. The first theoretical part of the work presented the necessary information for subsequent analysis in the second part, which introduced the phenomenon of terrorism, its typology and methods, looked at terrorism from a global perspective and also introduced terrorist organizations with the highest incidence and incidence in the world. The second part of the work analyzed global terrorism in several areas, which revealed several trends. The analysis showed a declining trend in the number of incidents and deaths in the last five years, in which the continuing decline of ISIL in Iraq and Syria also played a large role, while the group's influence is still expanding geographically. In Afghanistan, terrorist violence is on the rise, thanks to the Taliban, which has become the deadliest terrorist group, replacing declining ISIL. There has also been a decline in the number of countries registering victims of terrorism. The impact of radical jihadist terrorism in the West has subsided, while the number of deaths from the far right motivated by terrorism is increasing. |
