| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá zhodnocením efektivity českých veřejných ekonomických fakult a jejích determinantů v období 2016-2019. Teoretická část se věnuje modelům hodnocení efektivnosti a dosud provedeným studiím na téma efektivnosti a jejích determinantů v oblastí terciálního vzdělávání. V části empirické je pak pro analýzu efektivnosti fakult využito dvoufázového přístupu. V první fázi je míra efektivnosti vyhodnocena s využitím metody datových obalů, konkrétně je aplikován super efektivní AP model za předpokladů konstantních výnosů z rozsahu. Ve druhé fázi se pak v regresním modelu s fixními efekty pokoušíme získanou efektivnost vysvětlit pěti fakultními charakteristikami. Bylo vyhodnoceno, že míru efektivnosti fakulty pozitivně ovlivňuje procento profesorů v akademickém sboru a procento nepřijatých studentů při výběrovém řízení. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor's thesis deals with the evaluation of the efficiency of Czech public economics faculties and its determinants in the period 2016-2019. The theoretical part is devoted to the models of efficiency evaluation and to the studies conducted so far on the topic of efficiency and its determinants in tertiary education. In the empirical part we employ a two-stage approach to analyze faculty effectiveness. In the first stage, the efficiency scores are evaluated using the data envelopment method. More specifically, we apply a super-efficient AP model under the assumptions of constant returns to scale. In second stage, fixed effects regression is used to investigate the determinants of efficiency with five characteristics of faculties. We conclude that the faculty efficiency is positively affected by the percentage of professors in the academic staff and the percentage of rejected students in the application process. |
