| Abstract: | Na českých vysokých školách se podíl studií ukončených bez absolvování pohybuje kolem 40 %. Nejčastějším důvodem pro předčasné ukončení studia je nespokojenost s náplní studia (45,3 %). Tato práce zkoumá faktory ovlivňující výběr vysoké školy. Je svým zaměřením jedinečná v českém prostředí a může pomoci zlepšit porozumění potřebám studentů na českých vysokých školách. Data byla získána pomocí dotazníkového šetření mezi 425 studenty Filozofické fakulty a Fakulty informatiky Masarykovy univerzity. Modely lineární regrese a binomiální logistické regrese ukazují, že se důležitost výše mzdy mezi studenty těchto dvou fakult liší, přičemž pro studenty Fakulty informatiky je více důležitá, což odpovídá také výrazně vyšším nástupním mzdám v tomto oboru. Identifikovány jsou také další významné faktory, jako třeba důležitost snadnosti nalezení práce v oboru a důležitost možnosti práce při studiu. |

| Abstract: | The proportion of studies completed without graduation is around 40% at universities in the Czech Republic. The most common reason for early termination of studies is dissatisfaction with the content of studies (45.3%). This thesis examines the factors influencing college choice. It is unique in its focus on the Czech Republic and it can help improve understanding of the needs of students at Czech universities. The data was obtained using a questionnaire survey among 425 students of the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Informatics of Masaryk University. Linear regression and binomial logistic regression models show that the importance of the expected salary differs between students of these two faculties. Moreover, it is more important for students of the Faculty of Informatics, which also corresponds to significantly higher starting salaries in this field. Other important factors are also identified, such as the importance of ease of finding work in the field and the importance of the possibility of working while studying. |
