| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se věnuje urbanistickému a socioekonomickému procesu gentrifikace. Cílem této práce je potvrdit hypotézu o probíhajícím gentrifikačním procesu na území pražské čtvrti Žižkov. V teoretickém zakotvení se práce věnuje pojmu gentrifikace, příčinám jejího vzniku a vývoje, pozitivní i negativní dopady. Prostor je věnován i dalším formám městských proměn, stejně jako procesu gentrifikace v kontextu post-socialistických zemí. Praktická část se věnuje procesu na území Žižkova. S využitím primárních i sekundárních dat jsou mapovány potenciální znaky na konkrétních žižkovských lokalitách. V závěru práce je potvrzen průběh gentrifikačního procesu v některých oblastech na území Žižkova a jsou navržena doporučení pro zmírnění negativních dopadů. |

| Abstract: | The thesis focuses on the urban and socio-economic process of gentrification. This thesis aims to confirm the hypothesis of the ongoing gentrification process in the Prague district of Žižkov. In the theoretical grounding, the thesis deals with the concept of gentrification, the causes of its emergence and development, and its positive and negative impacts. A part of the paper is devoted to other forms of urban transformations and the process of gentrification in the context of post-socialist countries. The practical part is focused on the process in the territory of Žižkov. Potential features in specific Žižkov locations are mapped using primary and secondary data. The thesis concludes by confirming the progress of the gentrification process in some areas in the Žižkov territory and proposing recommendations to mitigate the negative impacts. |
