| Abstract: | Cílem této diplomové práce je analýza konvergence regionů Evropské unie v období od roku 1995-2020 na různých NUTS úrovních, v rámci jednotlivých států Evropské unie rozdílnou rychlostí sledovaných proměnných Teoretická část se zaměřuje na vysvětlení pojmu regionální konvergence prostřednictvím literární rešerše teoretických a empirických publikací souvisejícími s procesem konvergence. Praktická část se věnuje analýze konvergence regionů Evropské unie na různých úrovních NUTS, vývoji konvergence regionů v jednotlivých státech Evropské unie a v neposlední řádě porovnání rychlosti růstu sledovaných proměnných. Je provedena regresní analýza, která potvrzuje že regiony Evropské unie k sobě konvergují, regiony v rámci zemí EU divergují a rychlost růstu HDP je rychlejší než rychlost růstu příjmů obyvatel a domácností. |

| Abstract: | The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyze convergence of regions within European union between 1995-2020 and to analyze the difference between growth of GDP, GVA and wages/income of households. Theoretical part of this diploma thesis focuses on explaining the term convergence and literal and empirical research of publications that are devoted towards convergence. Practical part of this thesis has three main focal points. First its devoted towards analyzing of convergence between regions of the European union. Afterwards attention is focused on convergence of regions within states in the European union and lastly the difference between growth speed of GDP/GVA and per capita income and income of households. Convergence has been analyzed with the use of regression analysis, which confirms convergence of regions within the EU, divergence in the states and different speed of growth of GDP, GVA and household earnings. |
