| Abstract: | Práce si klade za cíl ocenit americkou biomedicínskou společnost Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Inc. k datu 1.1.2022. Práce obsahuje teoretickou část, která je dále následována praktickou částí, ve které je společnost analyzována z pohledu finanční a strategické analýzy. Výstupem těchto částí je zhodnocení finančního zdraví podniku a perspektivnosti podniku. Celkově dochází k ověření předpokladu „going concern“, který je nutnou podmínkou pro použití některé z výnosových metod. Práce dále obsahuje prognózu generátorů hodnoty a finanční plán. V poslední části práce dochází k samotnému ocenění společnosti za použití výnosové metody DCF entity a metody tržního srovnání. Práce je zakončena investiční analýzou, která zahrnuje doporučení k nákupu s možnými cenovými vstupy. |

| Abstract: | The thesis aims to valuate American biotech company Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Inc as of 1.1.2022. The thesis includes theoretical part which is further followed by practical part, where the company is analysed from the point of view of financial and strategic analysis. The outcomes of those parts are evaluation of financial condition and perspective of the company. Overall, the „going concern“ assumption, which is a necessary condition for using any of the Income methods, is verified. The thesis also contains forecast of value generators and financial plan. In the last part of the thesis the valuation of the company itself takes place using the DCF Entity method and Multiples Approach. The thesis is concluded with an investment analysis which contains buy recommendation with possible entry points. |
