| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou světového rybářského průmyslu reflektující současný vývoj s důrazem na dlouhodobou udržitelnost tohoto odvětví. Hlavním cílem práce je analýza aktuální situace a vývoje současných trendů v odvětví rybářského průmyslu. Kromě zhodnocení uplatňované regulace, zmapování činnosti významných aktérů a geografických makroregionů zapojených do rybářského průmyslu či zdůraznění ekonomického významu tohoto odvětví se práce zabývá vyhodnocením udržitelnosti komerčního rybolovu při zachování stávajícího tempa vytěžování mořských zásob. V závěrečné části práce jsou za pomoci syntézy zjištěných poznatků identifikovány největší hrozby komerčního rybolovu včetně jejich dopadů a následně je navržena kombinace doporučených řešení udržitelného rybolovu. V neposlední řadě práce nastiňuje možné scénáře budoucího vývoje rybolovu a akvakultury do roku 2050 ve 3 variantách, které jsou následně doplněny o diskuzi. |

| Abstract: | The diploma thesis deals with the issue of the world fishing industry, reflecting the current development with an emphasis on the long-term sustainability of the industry. The main aim of the thesis is to analyze the current state and the development of current trends in the fishing industry. Aside from the evaluation of the implemented regulation, mapping the activities of the main actors and geographical macro-regions involved in the fishing industry, or emphasizing the economic importance of the sector, the thesis deals with the assessment of the sustainability of commercial fishing presuming the current pace of exploitation of marine resources. The final part of the thesis is based on the synthesis of the previous findings, and it identifies the most significant threats to commercial fishing including their impacts. On top of that, a combination of recommended solutions for sustainable fisheries is proposed. Finally, the thesis outlines possible scenarios for the future development of fishing and aquaculture by 2050 in 3 variants which are subsequently complemented with a discussion. |
