| Abstract: | Hlavním cílem této bakalářské práce je zhodnotit dopad pandemie COVID-19 na globální hodnotové řetězce (GVCs) v automobilovém průmyslu se zaměřením na Českou republiku. První kapitola shrnuje dosavadní teoretické poznatky a principy, které souvisejí se zapojením do globálních hodnotových řetězců. Druhá část obsahuje obecný přehled o postavení českého automobilového průmyslu, jeho popřevratovou integrací do světového systému a zapojení v rámci GVCs. Třetí kapitola pomocí kvantitativního šetření analyzuje dopady pandemie na dva články řetězce – na společnost Porsche Česká republika a Toyota Motor Manufacturing. Výstupem je analýza dopadů a změn, které způsobila pandemie COVID-19 v daných článcích řetězce a zhodnocení budoucího směřování automobilovém průmyslu. |

| Abstract: | The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on global value chains (GVCs) in the automotive industry, with a focus on the Czech Republic. The first chapter summarizes the existing theoretical knowledge and principles related to involvement in global value chains. The second part contains a general overview of the position of the Czech automotive industry, its post-revolutionary integration into the world system and its involvement in GVCs. Using a quantitative investigation, the third chapter analyses the effects of the pandemic on two GVCs in the segments – on Porsche Czech Republic and Toyota Motor Manufacturing. The output is an analysis of the impacts and changes caused by the pandemic in the given segments of the chain and an evaluation of the future direction of the automotive industry. |
