These are the market perspective of the stakeholders, sustainability, short supply chain and, last but not least, the consumer-voter perspective, including their preferences towards home-grown, local or organic food. The analysis is based on the 2020 amendment to the Food and Tobacco Products Act from the Czech Parliament, focusing on the political context, its possible impact on the economy, its compatibility with legislation, and, most importantly, on other options to promote domestic food. For a comprehensive view on this topic, an analysis of the real availability of domestic food on the Czech, German and Polish markets was carried out. As a result, the paper provides an assessment of the feasibility of this proposal based on the sources used and the analysis of each market. |
