| Abstract: | Tato diplomová práce se zabývá ekonomickou a geopolitickou analýzou Čínské republiky známé také jako ostrovní stát Taiwan. Práce je rozdělena do teoretické a praktické části. V teoretické části se zabývá různými definicemi oboru Geoekonomika a určení, který nejvíce popisuje analytickou metodu použitou v této diplomové práci. Praktická část začíná základními informacemi o Taiwanu, včetně základní politické a ekonomické komparace s kontinentální Čínou. Dále práce popisuje dějiny a současnost Taiwanské technologické převahy na poli mikročipů a jak COVID pandemie otevřela nové příležitosti v zahraniční politice Taiwanu využitím oficiálních statistických dat od státních i respektovaných soukromých institucí. Součástí této analýzy bude také hlavní "zbraň" Taiwanské geopolitické strategie, nadnárodní společnost TSMC. |

| Abstract: | This Diploma thesis deals with the economic and geopolitical analysis of the Republic of China, also known as the island state of Taiwan. The Work is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with various definitions of the field of Geoeconomics and Determination, which most describes the analytical method used in this thesis. The practical part begins with basic information about Taiwan, including a basic political and economic comparison with mainland China. The thesis further describes the history and present of Taiwan's technological superiority in the field of microchips and how the COVID pandemic has opened up new opportunities in Taiwan's foreign policy by using official statistics from state and respected private institutions. The analysis will also include the main "weapon" of Taiwan's geopolitical strategy, the multinational company TSMC. |
