| Abstract: | My thesis is about the trends in mutual trade between Kazakhstan and China. The research question of my thesis is what are the prospective relations between China and Kazakhstan? And the second question is how current trends affect the Kazakh-Chinese trade? My goal of the thesis is to examine mutual trade between Kazakhstan and China including the national aspects. As my methodology, I applied quantitative analysis, comparison, deduction, and observation on specific data and commodity structure to answer my research questions. My bachelor's thesis is divided into three parts. In the first chapter will delve into the theory of macroeconomic indicators applied in the quantitative analysis and thesis methodology. A literature review will also be conducted, thoroughly exploring the chosen theme based on research papers and books. In the second chapter, their relationships, consequences, the initiation of the "Belt and Road" initiative, and the history of how their relations were structured before and after this initiation will be examined in detail. The work will include a quantitative analysis of macroeconomic indicators based on the magic square, with selected indicators such as GDP, unemployment, and inflation rate. Trends and the commodity structure of trade between Kazakhstan and China will also be examined, utilizing information from scholarly sources. The impact of the "Belt and Road" initiative on the structure of their trade relations will be explored. The final chapter will concentrate on analyzing specific data about the situation in both countries before and after COVID-19. Given the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, it is critical to investigate the implications of this conflict for Kazakhstan's external trade. This thesis seeks to fill this gap by examining changes in Kazakhstan's and China's external trade, focusing on the impact of the Russia-Ukraine conflict on trade volumes, commodity structure, and trade geography. The findings of this thesis will add to the existing literature on the effects of conflict on trade, shedding light on the challenges and opportunities that neighboring countries face in such circumstances. Official websites such as IMF, World Bank, OECD, and Bureau of National Statistics will be used to collect data for accurate analysis in the thesis. |

| Abstract: | Moje kvalifikační práce je o trendech ve vzájemném obchodu mezi Kazachstánem a Čínou. Výzkumná otázka mé práce je „Jaké jsou budoucí vztahy mezi Čínou a Kazachstánem?“ A druhou otázkou je „Jak současné trendy ovlivnily kazašsko-čínský obchod?“ Cílem mé práce je prozkoumat vzájemný obchod mezi Kazachstánem a Čínou včetně vybraných aspektů národních ekonomik. Jako metodologii jsem aplikovala kvantitativní analýzu, srovnání, dedukci a pozorování na konkrétní data a komoditní strukturu obchodu, abych odpověděla na svou výzkumnou otázku. Moje bakalářská práce je rozdělena do tří částí. V první kapitole se ponoří do teorie makroekonomických ukazatelů aplikovaných v kvantitativní analýze a do metodologie. Bude také provedena rešerše literatury, která důkladně prozkoumá zvolené téma na základě odborných článků a knih. Ve druhé kapitole budou podrobně prozkoumány jejich vztahy, důsledky, zahájení iniciativy Pás a stezka a historie struktury jejich vztahů před a po zahájení této iniciativy. Práce bude zahrnovat kvantitativní analýzu makroekonomických ukazatelů založených na magickém čtverci, jako jsou HDP, nezaměstnanost a míra inflace. Rovněž budou zkoumány trendy a komoditní struktura obchodu mezi Kazachstánem a Čínou s využitím informací z odborných zdrojů. Bude prozkoumán dopad iniciativy Pás a stezka na strukturu vzájemných obchodních vztahů. Závěrečná kapitola se zaměří na analýzu konkrétních údajů o situaci v obou zemích před a po COVID-19. Vzhledem k probíhajícímu konfliktu mezi Ruskem a Ukrajinou je zásadní prozkoumat důsledky tohoto konfliktu pro zahraniční obchod Kazachstánu. Tato práce se snaží vyplnit tuto mezeru zkoumáním změn v zahraničním obchodu Kazachstánu a Číny se zaměřením na dopad rusko-ukrajinského konfliktu na objemy obchodu, komoditní strukturu a obchodní geografii. Poznatky získané v této práci doplní stávající literaturu o dopadech konfliktů na obchod a osvětlí výzvy a příležitosti, kterým sousední země za takových okolností čelí. Oficiální webové stránky jako MMF, Světová banka, OECD a Bureau of National Statistics budou použity ke sběru dat pro přesnou analýzu v práci. |
