| Abstract: | Cílem této diplomové práce je analýza Bitcoinu v rámci České republiky. Bitcoin je soubor konceptů a technologií, které tvoří základ ekosystému digitálních peněz. Měnové jednotky zvané bitcoiny se používají k ukládání a přenosu hodnoty mezi účastníky bitcoinové peer-to-peer sítě. Uživatelé Bitcoinu mezi sebou komunikují pomocí Bitcoinového protokolu primárně přes internet, i když lze použít i jiné přenosové sítě. V diplomové práci je také popsána celosvětově uznávaná česká kryptoměnová komunita, která se skládá ze samotných vlastníků této kryptoměny, obchodníků přijímajících bitcoin jako formu platby a vývojářů. Tato komunita má významný podíl na předním postavení České republiky v kryptoměnové komunitě. Cíle práce bylo dosaženo za pomocí kombinace analýzy sekundárních dat, kvantitativního a kvalitativního výzkumu. Kvantitativní výzkum byl zhotoven pomocí dotazníkového šetření třech subjektů: široké veřejnosti, vlastníků bitcoinu a obchodníků přijímajících bitcoin. Výsledky kvantitativního výzkumu byly posléze doplněny kvalitativním výzkumem, který zahrnoval rozhovor s odborníkem v oboru kryptoměn. Výsledkem výzkumů je zvyšující se míra adopce všech tří subjektů. |

| Abstract: | The aim of this thesis is to analyze Bitcoin in the Czech Republic. Bitcoin is a set of concepts and technologies that form the basis of the digital money ecosystem. Currency units called bitcoins are used to store and transfer value between participants in the bitcoin peer-to-peer network. Bitcoin users communicate with each other using the Bitcoin protocol primarily via the internet, although other transmission networks can also be used. The thesis also describes the globally recognized Czech cryptocurrency community, which consists of the owners of the cryptocurrency themselves, merchants accepting bitcoin as a form of payment, and developers. This community has a significant contribution to the leading position of the Czech Republic in the cryptocurrency community. The aim of the thesis was achieved through a combination of secondary data analysis, quantitative and qualitative research. The quantitative research was conducted through a questionnaire survey of three subjects: the general public, bitcoin owners and merchants accepting bitcoin. The results of the quantitative research were then complemented by qualitative research, which included an interview with an expert in the cryptocurrency industry. As a result of the research, the adoption rates of all three subjects are increasing. |
