| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce se zabývá otázkou zabezpečení SQL databází v cloudu. Hlavním cílem práce je porovnat vybrané cloudové databáze (DBaaS) z hlediska nabízených možností ochrany dat. Po vymezení důležitých pojmů následuje zmapování základních bezpečnostních rizik, se kterými se může uživatel či správce databáze setkat. Další podkapitola se zaměřuje na doporučení (best practices) z oblasti bezpečnosti dat, existující techniky a nástroje, ze kterých pak vychází požadavky na databázi provozovanou v cloudu. Následuje vymezení hodnoticích kritérií a zvolení konkrétních služeb reprezentovaných na trhu pro komparaci. Analýza vychází z veřejně dostupných dat jednotlivých dodavatelů a výsledky jsou okomentovány. Je třeba docílit toho, aby čtenář byl obeznámen se základními bezpečnostními riziky a byl schopen samostatně rozhodovat o vhodnosti či nevhodnosti použití určité platformy. Práce by měla být přínosná zejména pro studenty zajímající se o problematiku bezpečnosti dat, pro manažery rozhodující o zapojení určitého nástroje do projektu či pro správce databáze. |

| Abstract: | The bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of SQL databases in the cloud security. The main goal of the thesis is to compare cloud database services in terms of data protection options offered. After defining important terms and mapping basic security risks a user or database administrator may face, the next chapter focuses on recommendations (best practices) in the field of data security, existing techniques and tools, on which the requirements for a database operated in the cloud are based. This is followed by the definition of evaluation criteria and the selection of specific services represented on the market for further comparison. The analysis is based on publicly available data of suppliers with the findings are commented. The aim of the thesis is to introduce the reader with the basic security risks so he will be capable of deciding on the appropriateness or inappropriateness of using a certain platform. The bachelor’s thesis should be particularly beneficial for students interested in data security issues, for managers deciding on the inclusion of a certain tool in a project, or for database administrators. |
