| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce se zabývala otázkou korelace mediálního diskurzu amerických televizních stanic CNN a Fox News během války v Iráku s mocenským diskurzem Spojených států amerických. Na základě diskurzivně-sémiotické analýzy audiovizuálních podkladů bylo zjištěno, že zpravodajství CNN bylo možné považovat za neutrální a odproštěné od stanovisek Bushovy administrativy, kdežto u Fox News byla prokázána daleko větší míra pozitivní inklinace k nacionalistickým a provládním postojů. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor's thesis addressed the question of a possible correlation between the media discourse of American television stations CNN and Fox News during the Iraq War and the power discourse of Government the United States of America. Based on a discursive-semiotic analysis of the audiovisual evidence, it was found that CNN's news coverage could be considered neutral and detached from the viewpoints of the Bush administration, whereas Fox News showed a far greater degree of positive inclination towards nationalist and pro-government stances. |
