| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce zkoumá vztah mezi věkem řidiče a smrtelnými dopravními nehodami v Olomouckém kraji v letech 2011 – 2021. Zkoumá, jak věk řidiče ovlivňuje jeho rizikové chování za volantem a také popisuje rozhodování jednotlivce ve vztahu k riziku a řidičovo optimální chování. Cílem práce je ověřit hypotézu „Věk řidiče je signifikantně významným determinantem ovlivňující smrtelné nehody.“ Do regresního modelu jsou zahrnuty i další proměnné, které jsou vnímány jako faktory ovlivňující fatální dopravní nehody. Mezi ně patří pohlaví, přítomnost omamných látek, zkušenost řidiče, druh vozidla, stáří vozu, denní doba, lokalita nehody a příčina nehody. Na základě výsledků vyplývajících z odhadu regresního modelu, práce hlavní uvedenou hypotézu zamítá. Naopak významnými determinanty, které mají signifikantní vliv na vznik smrtelné nehody jsou pohlaví, přítomnost omamných látek, denní doba, lokalita nehody a druh vozidla. |

| Abstract: | The bachelor's thesis examines the relationship between the driver's age and fatal traffic accidents in the Olomouc Region in the years 2011 – 2021. It examines how a driver's age affects their risk-taking behavior behind the wheel, and also describes an individual's decision-making in relation to risk and the driver's optimal behavior. The aim of the work is to verify the hypothesis „Driver's age is a significant determinant affecting fatal accidents." Other variables that are perceived as influencing factors are also included in the regression model fatal traffic accidents. These include gender, presence of drugs, experience of the driver, type of vehicle, age of the car, time of the day, location of the accident and cause of the accident. Based on the results from the estimation of the regression model, the work rejects the main hypothesis. On the contrary, gender, the presence of drugs, time of the day, the location of the accident and the type of vehicle are important determinants that have a significant effect on the occurrence of a fatal accident. |
