| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se zabývá migrací terciálně vzdělaných obyvatel a způsoby, jak je přilákat a udržet v Karlovarském kraji a také jak ty stávající vysokoškolsky vzdělané obyvatele motivovat k tomu, aby kraj neopouštěli, Tento proces se nazývá brain gain. Teoretická část obsahuje rozbor pojmů brain drain a brain gain, strukturu vzdělání na trhu práce, rozbor produktivity práce, sektorové ekonomiky a teoretické koncepce neoklasických, keynesiánských, neoliberálních a institucionálních přístupů regionální hospodářské politiky. V praktické části jsou posbírána data o struktuře obyvatel v KVK mezi lety 2010 a 2020, ze kterých vyplývá stárnutí populace, velmi omezený výběr oborů vzdělání, silná tradice lázeňství a zdravotní péče, stagnující infrastruktura a hlavně velmi nízká vědecko-výzkumná a akademická aktivita v regionu. Do kontextu budoucnosti kraje jsou zapojena data z dotazníkové šetření na středních školách potvrzující trend odchodu mladých lidí za vzděláním mimo region. |

| Abstract: | The thesis deals with the migration of university educated residents and ways to attract and retain them in the Karlovy Vary Region and also how to motivate the existing university educated residents not to leave the region, this process is called brain gain. The theoretical part includes an analysis of the concepts of brain drain and brain gain, the structure of education in the labour market, analysis of labour productivity, sectoral economics and theoretical concepts of neoclassical, Keynesian, neoliberal and institutional approaches to regional economic policy. The practical part collects data on the population structure of the KVK between 2010 and 2020, showing an ageing population, a very limited choice of educational fields, a strong tradition of spa and health care, stagnating infrastructure and, above all, very low scientific research and academic activity in the region. Data from the secondary school questionnaire survey are included in the context of the future of the region, which confirms the trend of young people leaving the region for education. |
