| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou fondů kvalifikovaných investorů v České repub-lice. V práci je popsán právní rámec upravující fungování těchto fondů a celého kapitálového trhu. Dále je pozornost upřena na hedgeové fondy, jakožto na obdobu fondů kvalifikovaných investorů v USA a na celý kapitálový trh v USA včetně tamní legislativy. Oblast legislativy týkající se kapitálových trhů zejména pak FKI a hedge-ových fondů je podrobena podrobnějšímu srovnání. V závěru práce se věnuji porovnání vybraných fondů kvalifikovaných investorů s otevřenými podílovými fondy dle předem určených parametrů a vyhodnocení, zda fondy kvalifikovaných in-vestorů přinášejí svým investorům nějaké výhody. |

| Abstract: | The thesis aims to introduce the funds of qualified investors (QIF) in the Czech Re-public and their US alternative – hedge funds. It describes the legal framework governing how these funds function, as well as the legislative of the capital market related to them. Further, the two are analyzed and compared based on their individual legal frameworks, and their similarities and differences are described. The second goal of this thesis is to compare the Czech QIF and US hedge funds to mutual funds based on pre-set parameters, such as risk, yield, or liquidity. Finally, the thesis summarizes the evaluation of the funds and answers the question whether QIF bring any benefits to their investors compared to the other two. |
