Abstract:

The theoretical part of the work is mainly focused on population and family policy, demographic development and measures of family policy in the Czech Republic. In the practical part of the thesis, an analysis of the influence of selected determinants on the development of fertility in the Czech Republic was carried out, with the aim of finding out whether pro-population policies in the Czech Republic influence the development of total fertility. The relationship between fertility and selected factors is investigated using time series multiple regression analysis. The results of themanalysis showed that the average wage, tax benefits and the minimum wage influence total fertility. The effect of total fertility has not been proven for social benefits for families with children.
