| Abstract: | Tématem této bakalářské práce je srovnání vybraných aspektů burz New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) a NASDAQ. První kapitola se věnuje historii obou burz, popisuje okolnosti vzniku institucí a jejich vývoj, s důrazem na poslední dvě dekády. Ve druhé kapitole jsou podrobněji srovnány dvě klíčové složky burzovních systémů: obchodní systémy a předmět obchodování. Třetí kapitola analyzuje a zejména z časového hlediska srovnává vývoj vybraných burzovních indikátorů. Zaměřuje se na burzovní indexy, objemy obchodování, tržní kapitalizaci, počty kotovaných společností a počty IPO’s. Cílem práce je porovnat obě burzy v rámci zmíněných aspektů a případně zdůraznit nejvýznamnější nalezené odlišnosti. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor thesis compares selected aspects of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and NASDAQ. The first chapter is devoted to the history of the exchanges, describing the background of their origin and their further development, with a particular focus on the past two decades. The second chapter compares in greater detail the two key elements of the stock exchanges: trading systems and trading instruments. The third chapter analyses and, in particular, compares the performance of selected stock exchange indicators over time. It focuses on stock market indices, trading volumes, market capitalization, number of listed companies and number of IPO's. The aim of the thesis is to compare the two stock exchanges in terms of the above-mentioned aspects and, where relevant, to emphasise the most significant differences. |
